Why Group Therapy?

The group has been in existence for eight years. The group has many advantages. We are living in crazy times with a lot of isolation. Both the UK and the US have big problems with loneliness. Because the problems are so great the UK has a minister of loneliness. Social connections are essential for mental and physical health. In a group you can learn to be comfortable expressing yourself over time. No one walks into a group without any discomfort. And discomfort is essential because that's what signals us that there is something that needs attention.

Think about this: whatever we cannot say out loud in a group we will not be able to say out loud to those we love and to those we work for and with.  You can't get that job you want if you're too timid to talk up at work and ask for a raise or promotion, or leave that job for  a better one.

Whatever we can say out loud in the group we are strengthening communication skills. Not only do we benefit, but so do those who care about us.

If you're uncertain whether group is for you just call me and we'll talk about it.
